Since its inception, NYAAC has been a strong advocate for quality ambulatory health care services and has served as a resource for professionals in the industry. In 1986, in recognition of the valuable achievements of leaders in the field, NYAAC instituted an award commemorating “significant contributions and commitment to ambulatory care.” This award is given annually to an individual or organization that exemplifies dedication to the field and to the health care of all New Yorkers. Members of this committee review nominations for the award and submit their recommendations to the Board of Directors. Following the announcement of the recipient, committee members assist NYAAC’s Executive Director in the preparations for the celebration.(Add information re: Lifetime Achievement Award)
